Bill Culhane - Host of The Big Bid Theory

Bill Culhane is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the government procurement and contracting industry. As the co-founder and host of "The Big Bid Theory," Bill leverages his extensive knowledge and passion for the field to bring listeners valuable insights into the intricacies of government bids and procurement processes.

For over three decades, Culhane has been a professional radio, television, and podcast broadcaster, emcee, and speaker, participating in events across the United States. 

Culhane has 40+ years of experience in the private and public sectors, along with military service in the USAF. He is the co-creator and host of ‘The Big Bid Theory’ podcast, now in its 10th season, and distributed on iHeart, Apple, Spotify, SoundCloud and other platforms. The show focuses on topics targeted towards audiences interested in government purchasing and a broad range of industries, with Culhane’s special guest interviewees originating from those areas. 

Bill is not just a host but a thought leader in the industry. He frequently speaks at conferences, contributes to industry publications, and consults with businesses to help them navigate the complexities of government contracting. His expertise covers a wide range of topics, including bid strategies, procurement regulations, and the impact of emerging technologies on the industry.

Among his other professional accomplishments, Bill serves as COO for BidPrime and Beacon Bid, a pair of companies within the government purchasing sector. Drawing upon his varied experience, Culhane oversees a multitude of aspects of the businesses, to include Client Success, Marketing, Sales support, and logistics.

Culhane earned a track record of success in leadership roles within clinical software and healthcare IT, and is a proud USAF veteran, having served 9+ years, with assignments including in Nuclear Surety (RAF Alconbury, RAF Molesworth / United States Air Forces in Europe) and Aerospace Studies (Clemson University, University of South Alabama) specialties. Among his community involvement, he is co-President of the Connally High School Booster Club.
